The Golden Time of Day
Time to call it a day!
Good night blog friends,
Happy July 4th Everyone!
Saturday, June 27, 2020
Thank GOD, it's the Weekend!
Thank GOD It's The Weekend!
Time to relax and enjoy!
Another
week has come and gone, flew by rather quickly, thank goodness. Now the week is over already.
Thank God, it's the
weekend! I’m looking forward to relaxing, I hope. Mama’s here, she’s been
here a good long while. Keeping her fed and “doped-up” are my only must-dos.
Still, I look forward to a
whole lot of quiet time. I hope to do as much nothing as possible all day and for
the rest of the weekend.
Last week was busy, but good. The
BEST part of the past week was getting to spend more time with
Grandson, Jace. He is out of school for Covid-19 and summer vacation. We spend a lot of time chill-laxing, snacking,
eating, and chatting and such.
He’s growing like a California
Wildfire, almost as tall as his (short) mommy already. He gets that from his
dad and from MY dad.
Well enough about mucha’ nothing.
That’s my weekend rant.
Happy Weekend Everyone!
What about you? How was your
week? What did you do? What fun things do you have planned for the rest of this
weekend? Whatever you do, I hope you enjoy yourself!
Anybody heard any funny jokes
lately? I need a good laugh!
May tomorrow bring love, happiness, and peace!
Wishing you a blessed and safe
weekend!

Up The Creek Without A Paddle
~ Sniffer Dog ~
The first man looks very quizzically at the dog and asks why the dog is allowed on the plane.
The second man explained that he is a DEA agent and that the dog is a "sniffing dog". His name is Sniffer and he's the best there is. I'll show you once we get airborne, when I put him to work."
The plane takes off, and once it has leveled out, the agent says: "Watch this." He tells Sniffer to "search".
Sniffer jumps down, walks along the aisle, and finally sits very purposefully next to a woman for several seconds. Sniffer then returns to its seat and puts one paw on the agent's arm.
The agent says, "Good boy", and he turns to the man and says: "That woman is in possession of marijuana, so I'm making a note of her seat number and the authorities will apprehend her when we land."
"Say, that's pretty neat" replies the first man.
Once again, the agent sends Sniffer to search the aisles.
The Lab sniffs about, sits down beside a man for a few seconds, returns to its seat, and this time, he places TWO paws on the agent's arm.
The agent says, "That man is carrying cocaine, so again, I'm making a note of his seat number for the police."
"I like it!" says his seat mate.
The agent then told Sniffer to "search" again. Sniffer walked up and down the aisles for a little while, sat down for a moment, and then came racing back to the agent, jumped into the middle seat and proceeded to poop all over the seat.
The first man is really grossed out by this behavior and can't figure out how or why a well-trained dog would act like that, so he asks the agent, "What's going on?"
The agent nervously replied, "He just found a bomb!"

Lost in the Translation
Sven and Helmut worked together, and both were laid off, so off they went to the unemployment office.Asked his occupation, Helmut said "Panty stitcher. I sew the elastic onto cotton panties."
The clerk looked up panty stitcher. Finding it classed as unskilled labor, she gave him $300 a week unemployment pay.
Sven was asked his occupation. "Diesel fitter" he replied. Since diesel fitter was a skilled job the clerk gave Sven $600 a week.
When Helmut found out he was furious. He stormed back in to find out why his friend and co-worker was collecting double his pay.
The clerk explained: panty stitchers were unskilled and diesel fitters were skilled labor.
"What skill?" yelled Helmut. "
I sew the elastic on, Sven pulls on it and says, "Yep, diesel fitter".

Weekend Inspiration
The Ant and The Dove
An ANT went to the bank of a river to quench its thirst, and was carried away by the rush of the stream, it was on the brink of drowning.
A Dove sitting on a tree overhanging the water plucked a leaf and let it fall into the stream close to her. The Ant climbed on to the leaf and floated in safety to the bank.
Shortly afterwards a bird-catcher came and stood under the tree, and laid his lime-twigs trap for the Dove, which sat in the branches.
The Ant, perceiving his design, stung him on the foot. In pain the bird-catcher threw down the twigs, and the noise made the Dove take wing and fly away.
Moral: One good turn deserves another!

Write
It Down
A
couple in their nineties are both having problems remembering things. During a
checkup, the doctor tells them that they're physically okay, but they might
want to start writing things down to help them remember. Later that night,
while watching TV, the old man gets up from his chair.
"Want anything while I'm in the kitchen?" he asks.
"Will
you get me a bowl of ice cream?"
"Sure."
"Don't
you think you should write it down so you can remember it?" she asks.
"No,
I can remember it."
"Well,
I'd like some strawberries on top, too. Maybe you should write it down, so's
not to forget it?"
He
says, "I can remember that. You want a bowl of ice cream with
strawberries."
"I'd also like whipped cream. I'm certain you'll forget that, write it
down?" she asks.
Irritated, he says, "I don't need to write it down, I can remember it!
Ice
cream with strawberries and whipped cream - I got it, for goodness sake!"
Then he toddles into the kitchen. After about 20 minutes, the old man returns from the kitchen and hands his wife a plate of bacon and eggs. She stares at the plate for a moment.

While he was visiting, my father asked for the
password to our Wi-Fi.
“It’s taped under the modem,” I told him.
After three failed attempts to log on, he asked, “Am I
spelling this right? T-A-P-E-D-U-N-D-E-R-T-H-E-M-O-D-E-M?”

Did you hear about the 83 year old woman who talked
herself out of a speeding ticket by telling the young officer that she had to
get there before she forgot where she was going?

A blonde, a brunette and a redhead all escape from prison. They hear the cops coming so they each climb a tree.
The cops come and shine flashlights in the trees.
They shine a light on the tree with the brunette and she goes "whoo whoo" like an owl.
They shine the light in the redhead's tree, she goes "Tweet Tweet" like a bird.
They shine the light on the blonde’s tree... "Moooooo".

Missing In Action
Do You Wonder Where I Have Been?
First, how is everybody doing?
Is everything going okay? What have you been up to lately? Did you miss me? Did
you wonder where I vanished to? Well, I sure missed all of you.
Okay, now here I am trying
to sneak a minute and write a quick
post.
I’m fine, just popping in to say hi
and hello. I know it’s been way too long since I wrote a post so, I thought I’d
better do it right now. My being
busy is no excuse, even if it is the truth.
I really hope that some of my
‘things to do’ will lighten up a bit real soon.
It seems the more I do, the more I NEED to do. It’s crazy and it’s
exhausting. This Caregiving journey is no picnic. It is a real job, no “if(s)-and(s)-or-but(s)”
about it!
There’s a lot more I could
say about caregiving and being overly busy and exhausted. But, if I try to do
that here I will never get this post finished and published. Hopefully, I can
fill you in on what’s been going on with me one day soon.
I hope you have had a good
week. Here’s wishing you a relaxing and peaceful weekend.
Until next time…
Good Night!
