DeleteOkay, it's a long fish joke but the only one I can recall at the moment. A fisherman caught a trophy fish one day when he was by himself on the lake. He could not believe the size of it and couldn't wait to show his friends. But he knew they would say he had bought it at a fish vendor unless he had proof. So he was determined to keep the fish alive. Tough to do out of water.
ReplyDeleteSo he trained the fish to stay out of water for longer and longer periods of time. Pretty soon, he'd just give the fish a drink of water to keep it breathing. Finally he was able to keep the fish alive just keeping it on a wet towel. Later he felt he could haul the fish out of his boat. But in so doing, he dropped the fish into the water . . . and it drowned.
Lawdy, Lawdy, Lawdy, Dave. This is too funny, got me LAUGHING OUT LOUD over here. I mean...it really cracked me up! Thank you!!!

DeleteYou would think I have a good fishing story/joke with a Dad who fished so much, but like you ... I don't. That's why cartoons like these are needed to boost our spirit at times. You had me hooked with the first one! LOL
