Release Negativity

3 Simple Steps to Renew Etc.

Here are 3 Simple Steps to Take to Renew, Revitalize, and Release Negative Thoughts, Behaviors, and Patterns:

First, think about a particularly challenging situation in your life. This could be related to family issues, professional struggles, or even a habit you’d like to change.

Second, write it down.

Third, try this exercise to release the negative charge of this issue, struggle or habit:

Evoke a positive thought that you’ve never had before about the person or the situation. Choose something positive and true about them. For example, let’s say your boss drives you completely crazy! See if you can find one positive quality about him or her.

Attach a positive emotion to that quality and focus this emotion towards the person or situation. Let’s say you have a difficult relationship with someone in your family.

Think about one positive quality about this person. How does this positive quality make you feel? Send this positive feeling and energy to this family member.

Exhibit a behavior you wish to see in this person. This is your chance to be the role model to a family member, a boss, a friend or even your child.

If you can practice these 3 simple steps, your mindset about the situation or the person will change. This challenge will no longer define your life and your experience with this person or situation will begin to shift.

What are your thoughts on this topic? Have you ever experienced a negative situation? Have you ever been in contact with a negative person or persons? How did you handle it? Let us know in the comments section. We’d love to have your feedback.

When life changes from good to bad, and IT WILL! The only thing we have left are precious memories of wonderful times with our loved ones. Believe it or not, the happiest people have an investment of time and energy into positive family relationships. So, take some time to make more memories with those special people in your life.

What Am I Doing Here, Why Am I Still Alive?

Have You Ever Asked Yourself That Question?

 My daughter, Jordyn.

Right now, I’m so tickled I’m about to pop-wide-open! I’m grinning from ear-to-ear, laughing out LOUD…all by myself over here in my little corner of Houston. Would you like to know why? Oh good, I was hoping you’d say yes.

My daughter, Jace’s mommy, Jordyn, has written and published a book. Not just any old book, mind you. She’s written a spine-tingling, mesmerizing, page-turner BOOK!

Don’t let me start blabbering like a nincompoop, let me just get to the good part.

Jordyn’s Book

Seize Your Purpose NOW! By Jordyn Lorenz

Jordyn Lorenz’s Seize Your Purpose NOW! grabbed my attention like a magnet and pulled me in faster than greased lightning! Her words in the opening paragraph, “There HAS to be MORE to life”, struck me like a magic arrow. I am hooked, spellbound, and anxious to find out what Jordyn has to say.

I can’t stop, I have to know more. Page after page, I continue to read as Jordyn describes our life struggles in plain language that everyday people can understand. She shares her challenges and how she resolved them.

She ends each chapter with recommendations and strategies to help us navigate and solve our own unique problems and/or improve our circumstances.

Thanks to Jordyn Lorenz’s, Seize Your Purpose NOW! I can begin my own Journey to my Purpose. I will begin by identifying what is keeping me down and make a list of these challenges. I learned that my next step is to accept it and get on with life.

Jordyn has written this must-read step-by-step guide for those of us who want to or need to move forward. I recommend it for anyone ready to take the next step and make positive changes in your life.

There you have it, my testimonial for my daughter, Jordyn’s, book.

What are your thoughts on finding your purpose in life? Have you found yours? What was your childhood dream? Are you living it NOW? Tell us in the comments section, we’d love to hear all about it.

Weekend Inspiration

The Ant and The Dove

An ANT went to the bank of a river to quench its thirst, and was carried away by the rush of the stream, it was on the brink of drowning.

A Dove sitting on a tree overhanging the water plucked a leaf and let it fall into the stream close to her. The Ant climbed on to the leaf and floated in safety to the bank.

Shortly afterwards a bird-catcher came and stood under the tree, and laid his lime-twigs trap for the Dove, which sat in the branches.

The Ant, perceiving his design, stung him on the foot. In pain the bird-catcher threw down the twigs, and the noise made the Dove take wing and fly away.

Moral: One good turn deserves another!

Fruitful Friday

Lessons From A Rose

Roses are full of thorns. Life is full of pain.

Live your life like the rose. Spread your beauty and your fragrance, oblivious to the thorns and their potential to cause pain.

Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our life. If God allowed us to go through our life without any obstacles it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as what we could have been. And we could never fly.

Redemption

I have stood the test of time.

Once I lived a life of beauty,
sunrises excited me, sunsets comforted me.
Each morning I rose to greet a new day,
with outstretched arms reaching for heaven,
giving thanks to God for my magnificence.

I have survived through season after season.
Hence, ravages of weather brand every inch of my being,
neglect hastened my demise,
ignorance imprisons me.
Yet I stand, with outstretched arms reaching for heaven,
giving thanks to God for my endurance.

Still I stand, though forgotten abused and forlorn
waiting to once again greet the sunrise,
to slumber peacefully in the sunset,
to serve a purpose other than despair,
with outstretched arms reaching for heaven,
giving thanks to God for my redemption.

Stress Less

Most of us are probably coping with some level of stress and we need to learn how to relieve it. Effective stress-relief techniques focus on relaxing your mind and your body. For starters, we can relieve a lot of stress from our lives by dumping limiting beliefs - - those things you believe about yourself that place limitations on your abilities.

Limiting beliefs can be difficult to change because we often don’t realize they exist but, they can easily be overcome with desire and determination. It is imperative to first identify them and how they have served you in the past so you don’t beat yourself up for having had them.

Limiting beliefs almost always begin with “I can’t because…” Examples include “I can’t find a good job because I never went to college, diets don't work for me, I don't have time to exercise, or my company isn't giving pay raises this year.”

Can you really get beyond your limiting beliefs? Fortunately, yes. It is possible to get rid of these beliefs and replace them with more positive ones but, you first need to identify your limiting beliefs. Then to change limiting beliefs, you will need to break the thoughts that reinforce your belief that you are unable to do something.

Is it possible to relieve stress? Yes. Before we go on, if your level of stress is serious, consult your physician. But, if you think you can take charge of your stress, here are a few things that can help.
- Learn to have a sense of humor
- Try yoga: no legs behind the neck here
- Aroma therapy works wonders
- Exercise for 30 minutes
- Lift weights but don’t go overboard
- Take a walk in the fresh air
- Try dance and creative movement
- Chocolate, eat it in moderation though or open a candy bar and just smell it
- Relaxation & deep breathing exercises provide immediate relief
- Take a six minute vacation
- Communicate: talking with friends, family, a counselor, or a member of the clergy about your feelings is a healthy way to relieve stress
- Set more realistic goals: for yourself and others
- Develop a hobby: fishing, knitting, photography, woodworking, anything. Do something fun with your hands

Find your inner peace - - learn how to relieve your stress by finding what works best for you. Let us know your favorite ways to de-stress.
