Discovery Green Park
If
you’re visiting Houston, Discovery Green Park in Downtown Houston is one
attraction you don’t want to miss. It is fun, it’s family-oriented and, it’s
FREE.
There
is so much to see and do you could very well spend the entire day there and still
not get around to everything.
Discovery
Green Park is
Houston’s only eco-park. The park focuses on using lots of "green
elements" including many trees, greenery, and using solar panels to keep
the park powered instead of traditional electricity.
The
park includes a children's area, several recreational areas, bandstands and
venues for public performances, dog runs, and a lake.
Discovery
Green Park in Downtown is a really amazing place with 250 Solar Panels, a Green
Roof, and beautiful tree-shaded walks leading to a tranquil pond. Enchantingly
lush grassy slopes offer postcard views of downtown.
So,
if you get anywhere near Houston on your next vacation, or weekend get-away trip,
you must visit Discovery Green Park in
Downtown Houston.
