Goodbye My Love!
I
stand, gazing longingly across the backyard fence, searching for that familiar
sight of the sun setting beautifully in the western sky. It is not there today!
There’s no setting sun this surprisingly pleasant evening. The overcast partly
cloudy western sky matches my inner mood.
There
is a simmering sadness deep within my soul. It has been exactly 24 hours since
my beloved middle brother passed away. He died from complications from an
accident he had on Labor Day.

Goodbye Maurice, My Love! Your physical presence will be
sorely missed. Your energizing voice on the other end of the phone is forever
etched in my memory. Your positive uplifting conversations will keep me
thinking of you lovingly and smiling …just because.

express. Always have and always will.
