I captured Jace in a rare moment of quiet… stillness…reading for a brief “HOT” second.
It’s hard to believe summer’s just past and another school year has started. With no little ones, or big little ones in school I have no “school-is-back-in-session” gauge. Jordyn worked both summer school sessions so there was no definitive break to speak of. Jace and I continue to bond and wonder at each other while she slaves away at her day-job to finance his ever growing needs.
As usual there is so much to do and seemingly not enough time to accomplish it all. Since Jace arrived I haven’t blogged consistently. Many times I thought of forgetting about blogging altogether, but dang, blogging is just too much fun to let it go without a TRY anyway.
Another thing I struggle with is the purpose and content of this blog. I started it to share writing and publishing tips I learned. Well that hasn’t happened since forever, has it? I thought about changing the name to Grandma’s Blog or something similar. That didn’t happen. So I go back and forth between those things and then – nothing.
Life keeps me busy doing other things.
Enough about that, I’d better get to visiting and reading your latest happenings and happinesses (made up word). See you all soon.
Oh! Should I change the name of the blog to Grandma Something? Leave it alone? Should I forget writing tips? What do you think?
Jace looks very focused .... impressive and adorrrrable ! The thought of leaving blogger comes up to my mind too but like you said it is so much fun and enriching.
ReplyDeleteWish you a wonderful weekend .
Blessings.....
ReplyDeleteThat is why I don't have a theme blog, too restrictive. I like to go with the flow with whatever am feeling so that gives me a wide range of places to go. I get bored easily so writing just about one thing over and over will get real stale real fast. Now with my gratitude journal i have recommitted and make myself think of one good thing for the day to say thank you for. I helps to take ones mind of the negatives that has occurred and keeps things humble.
ur grandson sure is growing eh....
Have a good weekend...
Rhapsody
just let your blog be eclectic...like your life! lol...
ReplyDeleteJace is precious. But I know I don't have to tell you that. :-)
ReplyDeleteI think you should still do writing tips, but Grandma's blog is something he would always be able to see. As he grows. I love reading about your grandma exploits. Why do you have to have a theme? Just blog whatever is in your heart.
Happy weekend, my friend. (((hugs)))
Hi, Leona.
ReplyDeleteI was so happy to see that you visited my blog--it really cheered me up. At least you haven't totally forgotten me, and for that I'm thankful.
I've had a lot going on lately. I updated my blog and explained it all, so please check out what I posted, okay?
About your blog:
I'm having the same problem with mine as you are with yours. If I were you, I'd leave the title the same and just post whatever and whenever you want to.
Talk to you soon,
Cynde
At the Starting Gate could mean all kinds of things. It could be Jace at the Starting Gate too. He is truly adorable!
ReplyDeleteI think I'm going to be in for a surprise when I get to Chicago. It's so hot here in Hawaii.
I don't think you have to change a thing. Just keep doing you! Jace is soooo adorable.
ReplyDeleteYou can write about anything you want to....as Lin said..be eclectic!
ReplyDeleteSince I am among the few without grandkids, I vote for other than Grandma-type title!!
Always happy to see your comments. Enjoy fall 'cause...here it comes!
That photo is too cute, but I think I'm biased because she looks like old pictures of me and my oldest daughter.
ReplyDeleteI like have a mish mash blog, if that's what you wanna call it. It allows you to just go with the flow. I have another blog floating out there and its focus is so narrow that I became bored with it and stopped updating it. I leave it because it occasionally gets visitors and it's helpful.
Glad to see you around "It's a woman's world" now and then. :-)
