COVID-19 Vaccine Trials

FDA willing to fast-track COVID-19 vaccine before end of Phase Three trials
A scientist at RNA medicines company Arcturus Therapeutics researches a vaccine for the novel coronavirus.

What are your thoughts on this?

    I signed up for a vaccine trial a few months ago but never heard back from them. Now that I know tRUMP is pushing to get one out as fast as they can, I might not volunteer. Maybe 'after' the election.

    So long as the bloated orangutan is in office and his toadies are running the government's various agencies, I have little trust in their pronouncements. If a vaccine is announced during that period, I'll wait to see whether the identical vaccine is approved in other advanced countries. If it's approved by governments like France, Israel, Japan, etc., it's probably OK.

    I'm definitely among the vulnerable so I'll probably get the vaccine though I don't want to be the first. And I'm not that confident the virus will be eradicated anyway. Getting the flu shot hasn't eradicated the flu.

    It's a shame that politics are getting involved in this question. I was one of the first kids to get the polio vaccine as so many kids in my church were coming down with it. My daughter works for one of the companies producing a vaccine and it has more to do with $$ than politics. That said we will see how the trials go and make a decision at that time. Both my husband and myself are among the vulnerable so we will probably get it. As Big Dave said we get the flu shot and it hasn't eradicated the flu.

    You know Leona,I haven't even had a flu shot since the Swine flu vaccine. I'm sure you remember it. Many elderly people died just from getting that shot.Seems their immune systems couldn't handle it. I believe in protecting my immune system by feeding it the best things and I try to avoid chemicals. I have no problem wearing protective gloves for everything. I think you have already guessed my answer. I'm going to check out this Tuskagee experiment next.
