Well,
here it is October already. Normally, I would ask that old familiar question…”where
did the time go”? For once, I don’t need to ask because I know exactly where
the time went.
8:00
am - I’m up in the morning making Mama’s breakfast and medicines for the 9:00
am scheduled time. Wash her dirty clothes, dry them, and get them ready for her
to fold.
11:00
am – Snack time, no meds.
1:00
pm – Lunch time, no meds.
3:00
pm – Snack time. Time for 3 pm meds
6:00
pm – Dinner time and time for 6 pm meds. Time to get ready for bed, she goes to
bed with the chickens.
This
is just the things that are scheduled. There are many more that are not listed
here. And, so the day goes in the life of this caregiver.
Wheeeew!!!

sounds like several full time jobs!
ReplyDeleteWell I understand this totally. God bless you for taking care of your Mom. It is overwhelming at times, and you don't even realize it. Be sure to take some time for yourself even if it is to read a magazine with your feet up while sipping on the drink of your choice!!
ReplyDeleteYou're a wonderful daughter for taking care of your mom. They've taken care of us, and at this stage we need to take care of them.
ReplyDeleteYou're being such a terrific daughter, Leona. Right now, Mom is the one who still takes care of us. The time will come though when I'll have to get advice from you.
ReplyDeleteBlessings....
ReplyDeleteYes it is, just make sure that you eek some time out to care for yourself as well. The better you take care of you, the better you can take care of others.
P.s.
I have an award for you over at my place. Kindly stop by and pick up.
thanks.
