Don't Get Mad! Get Even!!
😤 😼
The first time my mister was
late, we were going to a minor outing so, I overlooked the tardiness. Then it
happened a few more times, and I began to wonder about the frequency of his
lateness. Finally after being late to some important events, I realized
something had to change.
We had discussed the issue and he
always promised to do a better job of being on time. He always had a reasonable
(to him) excuse for being late. Unfortunately, things didn’t change. They got
worse.
The next important event we were
scheduled to attend was set for a Saturday evening at 5:00 pm. Instead of
telling him the correct time, I told him the event would begin at 3:00 o’clock.
Thankfully, we made it to our destination in time, with a few minutes to spare.
Not much has changed as far as
the mister always being late when he controls the time. As for me, whenever I
want to be on time, I inform him that the event is anywhere from an hour to three hours earlier than the correct time.
Are you always early or always
late? Is anyone close to you always late? How do you handle that?

That is a good trick haha! I am usually on time, hubby not so much. If it is important I make a big deal about it ahead of time.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate this nice comment. I like how you said that. Thank you. Thank you for visiting, and especially for taking time to comment.
DeleteI'm on time. My wife, not so much. If I really need her to be on time, I start harassing her about an hour and a half ahead of leaving and I don't let up.
ReplyDeleteBoth my wife and I are very punctual. I have a friend who is always early. Even when I make it a point to be early, he still often beats me.
ReplyDeleteI will wait a stated and specified time before leaving when I have been asked to meet someone at such and such a time. After waiting as much as a half an hour for someone on several occasions, I always say now that I will wait 15 minutes past the meeting time stated and then, I leave. And I do. Leave I mean. I have had folks mad at me for leaving even though I told them I would if they did not change the time to another if they weren't going to meet me on time. MY time is as valuable as theirs. I consider it the epitome of rudeness to leave someone standing (or sitting) awaiting your pleasure. If they show up at all. One time, they didn't.
ReplyDeleteLeona I just sent you message on Face Book.
ReplyDeletehehehe...you smart..
ReplyDeletenow, we both on time...
