Highlighting Tip: For Newbies Only

I've been away the past few days working on my next book. Taking time off - paid off. I formatted the book and got the lay-out going in the direction I want it to go. Formatting proved a bit more involved than I prefer but, it was worth it. I'll keep you posted on my progress.
Around mid-day today I performed a task that reminded me of something I want to share with you. Disclaimer: Today's tip is only for those unfamiliar with it.
I needed to highlight three pages of the MS word document I was working with. Two times the highlighting ran over into information I did not want to include. Then, I remembered there was a better way.
To highlight an entire page all at once:
  • On the menu click Edit (in MS word, on a Web page, etc)
  • Choose Select All - this highlights the whole page, pictures and all.
  • Or you can press Ctrl + A at the same time. This also highlights the entire page.

You can now copy and paste this information elsewhere. For more on this and other computer short-cuts see World Start.com.

  3. First: Thanks for the tip... I'm a newbie at everything that has to do with the computer. I can handle only the most basic tasks. My challenge will be to write a whole page that needs to be highlighted. Which brings me to..

Second: A book!! Not only a book... but your NEXT book! Now, that's flat out inspiring. I am amazed at you women who follow your instincts and dreams and grab the brass ring.

    sigh... maybe someday...
