Girl, I can’t begin to tell you how good it was to
finally get together with you yesterday. Better yet, I am so glad I eventually thought
of the idea of having a meet-up for breakfast instead of lunch. The more I
think about it now, the more I wonder what took me so long to “GET” to the
idea.
Since my days of caregiving for Mama and grandson don’t
leave me any time for lunch, one would have thought I’d come up with another
time and a different way to get together sooner. Oh well, that’s a perfect example
of how my mind does not work these days. It is also “water-under-the-bridge”. I GOT it now, thank goodness!
It was so much fun sitting there in I-Hop chatting and
catching up, I enjoyed every single minute of it. The breakfast was nice and tasty too. There
was so much food on the plate I couldn’t eat it all in one sitting.
It felt really good to finally get to talk to you
face-to-face instead of on the phone or via text message. We had more of a
chance to update each other on what has been happening in our lives. Boy oh
boy, I had more fun than a monkey in a pile of bananas!
I look forward to our next breakfast with a big grin on
my face, thinking of quite a lot of things I didn’t get to tell you yesterday.
I’m thinking that when the weather is not so cold or rainy, we can go to the
nearest park and chat while enjoying nature’s gorgeous-ness.
Okay, I’d better wrap this one up because I’m getting
long-winded here. I just wanted you to know how good it was to get together
again, in person.
Until we meet, greet, and eat again, my BFF.

Hahaha, it sounds like you had a wonderful time, Leona. I love the Dear BFF note. There is nothing better than in person, is there?
ReplyDeleteYou are right, Robyn. There is nothing like face-to-face. Phone calls are great, and text messages are really nice. But in person is THE BEST!
ReplyDeleteWe did have a really good time. I can hardly wait for our next breakfast!
Thank you for coming by and for leaving the lovely comment.
Oh Girl, I love the happiness and joy in this blog! And I am happy you found the human blog I do. Katie Isabella loves seeing you however. You have to scroll down a bit on Katie's blog but my Ramblingon blog address is there! xo
ReplyDeleteYou don't know how happy I was to finally find your human blog again. You would have thought I had hit the lottery if you had seen me grinning.
ReplyDeleteI love visiting Admiral & Katie Isabella's pages to see what they're up to. I get a nice smile or chuckle reading their blogs. Love those two little ones to pieces!
Thank you so much for coming by here and saying hello. I don't get to blog much any more, but when I AM on here, I will surely stop by your place.
we all need face to face time with our BFFs. love your clipart...and idea of monkey happiness...
ReplyDeleteFace to face time with friends is like having your cake and eating it too, Lin. It is THE BEST! Thank you for coming by to read and especially for the nice comment.
ReplyDeleteI love face-to-face time with good friends. It is better than texting and phone calls.
ReplyDeleteMedeia, you are so right. I totally agree that face-to-face time with good friends is better than texting and phone calls. It gives you a chance to see the joy on each other's face. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteIt's always good to get together with a close friend especially when you haven't seen them in awhile. My BFF and I have been hitting and missing with getting together lately. I need to arrange something before she has a surgery in a week or so.
ReplyDeleteI hope you see your friend again soon.
I hope I see my friend again soon too. I plan to do more than think about it this time around. I will make it a point to arrange a definite time to get together, even with all that is going on in my life.
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking time to come by and especially for the nice comment.
It's always wonderful to get together with a BFF. They are the ones who are there when you have time no matter how busy you've been.
ReplyDeleteYes, Kay. It doesn't matter if it's days, weeks, or even months (sadly sometimes). True friends are always there, ready and willing. I'm so glad you came by, thanks for the nice comment.
