Incredible Days

I am so fired-up! I just finished the most productive four days! I got more writing done over the past four days than I have since I finished my book and started blogging. 3,ooo words. And, not one of them on a blog.

The best part is that half of it, roughly 1,500 words, is tightly edited and ready to go. The downside to that is, I had to stay from my blogs, website, and all my friends. Now what kind of trade-off is that!

At one point, I searched my saved files and flash-drive for unfinished pieces. I found this beautifully written, soul-stirring poem. As I finished reading the last line I thought, "Wow, this is nice. It's hard to believe I wrote that." Needless to say, that raised my resolve to write and my energy level 200 degrees.

Most of Wednesday and, all day Thursday, Friday, and Saturday I wrote. With that said and with so much accomplished, I am fired-up! Ready for tomorrow.

  5. Will you share your beautifully written, soul stirring poem with us? My soul could use a little stirring.

Your enthusiasm is certainly something that reaches out and pulls me in. Wouldn't it be wonderful if this wild fire would spread and engulf a few more of us.

You GO, girl! We're all happy for and proud of you!

  6. I understand this completely L ! I have found that once I am downstairs writing (i.e. away from my PC completely) I am in a totally different world. This is regardless of whether I'm typing or handwriting. I have had my most inspirational writing moments while away from my desktop. I think it was Gloria Steinem who said,"It's only when I'm writing that I don't feel like I should be doing something else."
That's really it in a nutshell. I feel the same way.
I've been spending a lot of time lately writing in my handwritten journal which I've kept since I was 15. I have quite a few blank books filled now. ; )
